Here we are, in Cambridge, just before the trip. Emma Nour said she was sad to keave her mom and her cat. I m having a challenging time writing this. Im using Khaldias computer which doesnt know how to have a proper keyboard, and every time I download a picture, it shoots up ahead of the others. So heres a sort of backwards view, last things first, mostly. I wish I hadnt accidently deleted most of the gitls terse and funny writing, but Ill learn. Enjoy. Love to all. D, A, and EN

The big hug goodby
The flight was fine except I spilled water over Aicha, who could no more sleep than I could. We made it ! Greeted by Khaldia! hugs and kisses all around. Her friend , who spoke English, fitted the suitcases in the trunk, and drove us through the morning traffic jams to Khaldia*s, only once letting out that he had borrowed the car and had no license. Passed fields and suburbs, French cars, little delivery vans, big trucks, poplars standing in tall rows by the side of the highways, graffitti covered buildings, both new and old, out of French Impressionist paintings, the graffitti more seriously done than NY, as if they expected more of themselves, being Parisiens. Finally arrived home, on the corner of Rue de Seine in the Alfredville section. Neat, cheery and homey with those wonderful long shuttered windows that open wide bringing in the breeze, the sounds of he motor bikes and an occasional warble from a Parisian songbird As in Brooklyn, the back over looks gardens. We rested after croussaints from the local patisserrie, took a walk, then dear Khaldia went fro,m a full day at work to guiding us to Notre Dame Cathedral and the bustling famous streets. Emma Nour says:
Today we saw paris! also the notre dome and the famous gargogles. enb
